Denver 912 Project Rally for September 12th
I got to the steps of the capitol about 10:15 just as many people arriving. There was a rock band set up
on the southern steps and several booths on each side for the different 912 organizations. This first series
of pictures is a full circle panorama on the front steps. It was chilly and cloudy with a little bit of sprinkles
here and there, but these people came out for what they believed in.
Then I moved around in the crowd and shot pictures from several different angles. These are all the angry
mobsters and domestic terrorists who make up the vast Right Wing Conspiracy, according to the leftists.
Ironically, nobody was paid to be there. In fact, they spent their own money to be there.
In the next series of pictures, I was taking pictures of the rock band, and something interesting caught my eye.
This man in the center of the picture had a Civil War cap, was smoking a cigar, and when he turned around, there
was a big flag across the back of his jacket.

This first picture is the man who organized the event, and I don't remember his name. In the second picture, this
young lady sang the National Anthem, and in the third picture, the pastor said a prayer before the rally.
|
On your left is the first speaker, and I'm sorry I don't remember her name, but she had some
excellent things to say. On your right is another speaker who came from Grand Junction.
|
The guest speaker on the left was funny and very interesting to hear talk. His son had cancer, but because
he had private medical care, he was a survivor. If he would have been under the "public option" he would be dead
now. On the right is country singer Rich Owens who sang a patriotic song of his own and then the "Proud to Be An
American" song of Lee Greenwood.
|
The next guest speaker was my favorite, Amy Oliver, who has a local talk show on local station KFKA 1310 in
Greeley. She always has some interesting things to say, and I've called her show a few times myself to discuss
topics. She is married to Weld County Sheriff John Cook.
|
Next is John Caldera, a very outspoken man known locally from a television show he does on PBS TV in Broomfield. He had
a very touching story to tell about a daughter who died from cancer, so of course he was very very much against
the "public option" of government run health care.
|
The highlight of the rally was the keynote speaker, Jason Lewis. Jason has substituted for Rush Limbaugh several
times, and has his own syndicated radio talk show. He is originally from the Denver area even though he lives
in Minnesota right now. The main point of his speech was how the leftists in the
government had written legislation that caused all the problems we're having today. The Community Reinvestment
Act caused the housing problems, the welfare programs caused the divorce rate and broken homes, government
mandates caused the high cost of medical care, and so on and
so on. Essentially, it was government meddling that caused the problems, NOT the free market. It was a very
interesting talk that he gave.
|
The rally ended at 1 pm, but there will be more and more tea parties and rallies and a major movement against the
leftist takeover of the country.
