Ft. Collins Tea Party 11-03-09
This set of pictures is from the Tea Party Express as it made its stop in Ft. Collins on November 3rd. After this
program was over, the bus went to Denver for the same program in the evening. That night the Tea Party Express drove
all night long to Wichita to give the program on November 4th.
After singing "God Bless America" and saying the pledge of allegiance, the first performer in the
program was the man in the center wearing a black hat and singing. He was doing a version of "New York, New York" but
with the words changed. That's why the women were doing the leg kick in the background.
|
The first speaker had appeared on Fox News and some other broadcasts, although I don't remember
his name.
|
This lady was the hostess, but I can't remember her name either. In the last 2 pictures she is introducting
Joe the Plumber.
|
Joe the Plumber talked about family values and personal responsibility. He talked about raising his
teenage son and his responsibility as a father, as opposed to the nanny-state cradle-to-grave left-wing government
that we were protesting.
|
The next speaker was a lady who had appeared on Fox News and Hannity but I can't remember
her name.
|
Next were the singers and their name if I remember right was The Revelies. They had some funny songs
like "I need a bail out" and some serious political songs. In this series of pictures the gestures
represent telling Nancy Pelosi a "big fat no!" on her healthcare bill.
|
The next couple spoke of marriage and religion along with the politics of personal responsibility.
They also had some good books for sale. The lady spoke of conservatism for women.
|
Next we had some more music with this popular singer, and as above, I can't remember her
name.
|
The man in the blue shirt was another guest speaker. The man in the white shirt was a local activist
from Ft Collins who was talking about local politics.
|
In this series of pictures, the man wearing the yellow Gadsden tee-shirt was the man who was
beaten up by liberal thugs. He was at a tea party, selling the Gadsden flags (don't tread on me) when the liberal
thugs threw his flags onto the ground. He started to pick them up when a liberal thug hit him. The other thugs
joined in and in the end, he had to go to the hospital.
|
The next guest speaker was a local politician. She told her story of being a housewife and mom who
was worried about the future for her kids, so she went into politics.
|
This lady in the white tee-shirt was the local organizer for the event, who brought the Tea Party
Express to Ft. Collins.
|
The final part of the program was to honor veterans. The man in the baseball cap was a vet from WWII
so the group honored him with some songs.
|
For the closing of the program, the opening singer came back up for a few final words and a final
song. (He had a great voice!!)
